Meditation enables us to transform all experiences, even difficult emotions and painful thoughts, into sources of joy. With the current hype about meditation, it would be easy to think that meditation is about sitting in the right posture, using a special technique, and blanking the mind to be calm all the time. But the real power of meditation isn’t in the method. It’s in shifting our perspective.
The key to this shift in perspective is the recognition of awareness itself. In this two-Saturday workshop, we will learn to transform our life experience through this recognition - by exploring sensations and even thoughts and emotions themselves as supports for rather than obstacles to meditation.
This workshop, created by Tergar International, offers step-by-step instructions that will benefit those new to meditation and inspire those who have an existing practice. The workshop itself includes video teachings by Mingyur Rinpoche, presentations by Tergar teacher Kell Julliard, guided meditations, and group discussions. It is designed for people of all faiths and philosophical orientations and provides guidance for both beginning and experienced meditators.
